Analysis can be carried out on fish guts to see presence of plastics and know if fishes are affected by them and consume it. Water transects can be drawn on the lake for better examination. Robot boats/nets may be used as a part of equipment. Presence of sources and sinks of plastics can be pondered upon. The georaphic range may be set in such a way so as to incorporate and encompass all the variables and leaving no bias. Various types of plastics if found can be tabulated. Areas of high plastic occurrence can be thought of as "Plastic hotspots". Analysis can be done by differentiating on a middle(of the lake) or shoreline basis.
